The family tree below was compiled by contributors of the website for the 'novel project' and is based upon ideas from a range of fictional and historical books. It should be pointed out that it is not an attempt at historical accuracy. For example, Pascent is normally seen as a son of Vortigern and not his brother. The character of Enid is based around Aeodora, who in a few legendary stories is a daughter of Vortigern who falls in love with Arthur. Those shown without birth dates are dead by the start of the novel, which begins in spring 480 AD.
