Plotline
- The early adventures of a young Merlin and his
relationship with Prince Arthur set at Camelot in the mythical kingdom of
Albion.

Volume 1 will be released on the 28th November 2011 with Vol. 2 & the complete 4th Series DVD released on 23rd January 2012. More info here. Episode 2 of Merlin season 4, The Darkest Hour: Part 2, will be on Syfy on Friday 13th January. You can now view episodes of season four on iTunes here. Season 4 will first air on the BBC on the 1st October 2011 and will have 13 episodes. It will then air on the Syfy channel in early 2012. In an interview for Cultbox, star Colin Morgan talked about big changes to the show such as the introduction of the knights of the round table: "I think it's clear that Camelot is heading in a new direction," he claimed. "The characters' arcs are starting to take their place."

Season 4 will focus on the arrival of the legendary Knights of Camelot, including Gwaine (Eoin Macken), Percival (Tom Hopper) and Lancelot (Santiago Cabrera) and Merlin's on going battle with Morgana.
The series will also feature guest appearances by Gemma Jones (Bridget Jones’ Diary, Harry Potter), Phil Davis (Doctor Who, Brighton Rock) and Nathaniel Parker (Stardust, The Chronicles of Narnia).
