Plot ~ Lady Catrina has now married King Uther and become his Queen. However, its not long before she and her servant Jonas are plotting how to gain real power over the kingdom.

Using the magical medallion to cloud Uther's judgment Catrina persuades the King that Prince Arthur is to weak to rule the kingdom in the future and so his position of Crown Prince is taken away. Catrina will then be heir to the throne of Camelot.

Before there is a ceremony to make it official Merlin and Gaius become aware of how Catrina is disguising herself as a troll and so Merlin steals her potion. As a result Catrina's true form is revealed after the ceremony.

However, Uther is so far under her spell he does not see her as a troll even though everyone tells him the truth. Merlin is forced to go to the Great Dragon for help and he tells the young wizard that the only way to return Uther to normal is to make him cry tears of regret.

Gaius comes up with the plan of pretending that Prince Arthur has died. He gives poison to Arthur to convince the King of the Prince's death and thus destroy Catrina's spell, but can Merlin get the antidote to Arthur in time and help save the kingdom from the troll?
