Episode 2.13 ~ The Last Dragonlord (19th December 2009)

Plot ~ When the Great Dragon escapes his prison under Camelot he decides to take his revenge on Uther. Arthur and his knights try to save Camelot and the Prince is injured when trying to save Gwen.

Arthur and his knights appear defeated, but Gaius informs King Uther that there is one man who could defeat the dragon. He knows that there is a Dragonlord called Balinor (John Lynch) who could have survived Uther's purges against magic.

Gaius tells Merlin that he once helped Balinor escape the persecution. Arthur offers to find this man and departs with Merlin. As they approach the area where Balinor was last seen, Arthur's injury from his encounter with the Dragon worsens and he passes out.

Merlin is the one left to find Balinor and when he does he soon realises that the Dragonlord has more of a connection to him than Gaius, but can he convince him to go back to Camelot and save the kingdom from the dragon's wrath?
