Episode 12/13 ~ To Kill The King (6th December 2008)

Plot ~ A sorcerer called Tauren (Cal MacAninch) arrives at Camelot and he tricks Gwen's father Tom into helping him to turn lead into gold. The two men are discovered by Uther and although the dangerous Tauren escapes,  Tom is arrested. 

It is expected that Tom will be executed but Morgana helps him to escape. Tom is then killed when he is discovered by Arthur's knights. Morgana is infuriated by Uther's actions and also believes that the king might be responsible for her father's death.

Meanwhile, a devastated Gwen is found by Tauren who is looking for the magical stone that he was forced to abandon in Tom's house. She is told to get him the stone or face death. Instead of telling Arthur, who shows regret for Tom's death, she gets Morgana's help.

Morgana takes the stone to Tauren and his followers and is so angry with Uther that she becomes entangled in their plot to kill the King. However, Merlin has followed her to the rendezvous point and he has problems deciding whether to help her kill Uther or stop the murder. 

Morgana succeeds in the first part of her plan by getting Uther out of Camelot to visit her father Gorlois's grave, but can she really betray her King and can Merlin stop Tauren from killing Uther?
